Fire managers’ strategic planning includes multiple secondary and contingency lines between the fire’s edge and the southern edge of the Roan Plateau.

As a reminder:

Building Safety and Permitting

The Town of De Beque construction permitting process promotes public safety by administering and enforcing compliance with adopted building codes through plan review, inspection, and coordination with affected agencies (utility providers, sanitation districts, health department, etc.)

To ensure buildings are safe requires the active participation of property owners, tenants, construction industry experts, and building safety and fire prevention officials.

De Beque ensures safety in both new construction and remodels by adopting the most up to date versions of the International Codes in effect in Mesa County. The Town of De Beque administers a Building/Zoning Compliance Certificate to ensure compliance with local planning codes. Through a memorandum of understanding, De Beque contracts with the Mesa County Building Department to provide construction permit and inspection services. Prior to starting a project, it is advised that the Building Department be contacted at (970)-244-1651 to obtain the latest permit application and helpful information bulletins. Information is also available on the Mesa County Website.

If you have questions regarding your project, wish to confirm whether you need a building permit, or want to schedule a site inspection, please contact the Town Hall at the number below.
