Government
The Town of De Beque is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees and guided by a Planning and Zoning Commission. Together, these bodies help shape the policies, land use, and legal framework that support our community's growth, safety, and character.
Board of Trustees
As the Town’s governing body, the Board of Trustees provides direction to staff, adopts local laws, approves the budget, and makes key appointments. The Board meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in Town Hall. Meetings are open to the public, and community participation is encouraged.
Planning and Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission plays a vital role in land use and development decisions. The Commission meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Center. These meetings help guide thoughtful, strategic growth throughout the Town.
Municipal Code
The Town Code contains the official rules, ordinances, and regulations adopted by the Board of Trustees. It covers everything from administration and elections to land use and public safety. While the Code is updated regularly, residents should contact the Town Clerk to verify the most current information.
