The mayor, Shanelle Hansen, is the chief elected official and serves as the representative and general public relations officer for the Town. She presides at all regular and special meetings of the board, and in her absence, mayoral duties are carried out by the Mayor-Pro-Tem. The mayor, in consultation with the Town Board and Town Manager, signs contracts, licenses, and permits on behalf of the town when authorized by the board, and is a voting member of the board.
