"Will the Marshal's Department check on my home while I am away?"

The De Beque Marshal‚ Department provides free vacation checks on residences as a service to its residents. Just fill out the Vacation Check form, and your request will be forwarded to the deputies on patrol. You can also request a vacation check by calling 970-283-6070 and leaving the request information and a return phone number.

"How can I have my fingerprints taken for an application?"

The De Beque Marshal‚ Department provides fingerprinting services for residents of De Beque for the purposes of employment, adoptions and other pre-approved purposes.The De Beque Marshal‚Äôs Department does not keep a copy of these fingerprints.

Fingerprinting is offered as a service and is only possible when an employee of the Marshal‚ Department is available. We suggest calling ahead to check on availability.

The cost of fingerprinting is $20.00 payable to the Town of De Beque. You must present an approved government issued ID prior to the fingerprints being taken

"How can I obtain Reports and/or Records?"

Reports may be obtained by making written request through the De Beque Marshal‚ Department. Reports and records may be withheld for a variety of reasons including an ongoing investigations, juvenile records, etc.

The cost of reports is $1.50, and additional copies are $.50. The victim of a crime is able to request a copy of their own report at no cost.

To request a report, complete this form, or download a copy of the request from the Forms Tab. The request form can also be obtained and completed at the Marshal‚Department.

"Can I request a Background Check?"

Copies of Arrests and Records can be requested for any lawful purpose. The records may be withheld for a variety of reasons including an ongoing investigations, juvenile records, etc.

The records provided will only be records related to the De Beque Marshal‚ Department. Other records must be requested through the respective investigating agencies.

To request a report, complete this form, or download a copy of the request from the Forms Tab. The request form can also be obtained and completed at the Marshal‚ Department.

Colorado background checks are performed by CBI, and available on their website. De Beque will provide background checks (arrest records) for De Beque information only.

"Can I make an Anonymous Complaint?"

The De Beque Marshal‚ Department will accept anonymous complaints, BUT may not be able to take action on them.

The Marshal‚ Department is very interested in learning about possible violations of law and other issues occurring within our community. To this end, we accept anonymous reports of suspected crime.

However because it is anonymous, there are many times we are not able to take action without more evidence. If you provide anonymous information, please provide as much detail as possible to give us the best chance to help you.

De Beque Marshal Dalley understands the complexity of a small town and is always willing to meet in person to discuss issues within our community. In many cases, this provides the information needed to stop an activity while still protecting the identity of the person providing the information.
