TAKE NOTICE that the Town of De Beque is requesting amendments to Chapter 14.13: Sign Code of the Town of De Beque’s Municipal Code; to-wit:
Description of Request: | The proposed amendments to Chapters 14.13 include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Modifying the regulations to ensure that signs are not regulated based on content/messaging; 2) Simplifying, clarifying, and improving the usability of the sign regulations; 3) Expanding allowances for signage, specifically in De Beque’s non-residential zone districts; 4) Eliminating provisions for Creative Signs; and 5) Adding regulations that address Digital Signs.

Date, Time, and Place of Public Hearing: | The De Beque Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., to review and render a decision on the requested amendments to Chapter 14.13. Said public hearing will be held at De Beque Town Hall located at 381 Minter Avenue, De Beque, Colorado 81630. |
The proposed amendments to Chapter 14.13 may be reviewed in the De Beque Town Hall located at 381 Minter Avenue, De Beque, Colorado 81630 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. De Beque Town Hall may be contacted by calling (970) 283-5475.
All persons affected by the proposed amendments to Chapter 14.13 are invited to comment. You may state your views by appearing at the public hearing, submitting a letter to De Beque Town Hall, or by sending an email to: matt@coloradoplanning.com. All letters and emails must be received prior to the scheduled public hearing.
The De Beque Board of Trustees will consider the comments of those affected in deciding whether to approve or deny the request.
