TAKE NOTICE that the Town of De Beque is requesting an update to the Official Zoning Map of the Town of De Beque, Colorado (referenced herein as “Official Zoning Map”); to-wit:

Description of Request:

The purpose of the requested update to the Official Zoning Map is to: 1) Clarify and confirm the existing zoning of properties in De Beque, and 2) Ensure that the information depicted on the Official Zoning Map aligns with the updated version of Chapter 14.03: Provisions, Uses, and Requirements.

As the Town is pulling irrigation from Roan Creek, gravity pressure may vary.

 

Irrigation Update: Due to mechanical issues with the river pump, the Town will be pulling water from Roan Creek until further notice. Your patience is appreciated.

 

The Town’s irrigation river pump burned out due to the electrical outages.  Staff is working diligently to resolve the issue.  Thank you for your patience.

MOSQUITO SPRAYING FOR THE SUMMER IS SET TO BEGIN TONIGHT, MONDAY, JUNE 17TH.

 

THE TENTATIVE SPRAY SCHEDULE IS MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS APPROXIMATELY 8:00 P.M.

 

THIS SERVICE IS WEATHER/WIND DEPENDENT.  SPRAYING DAYS MAY BE CHANGED TO ACCOMMODATE WEATHER.

 

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST NO SPRAYING AT YOUR PROPERTY, PLEASE COME INTO TOWN HALL AND FILL OUT REQUEST. YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO PLACE GREEN FLAGS IN THE GROUND AT BOTH ENDS OF THE PROPERTY.  THESE FLAGS INDICATE TO OUR DRIVERS NOT TO TREAT THIS PROPERTY.

De Beque Wild Horse Days: The first Wild Horse Days started in 1999. A group of De Beque residents formed a Non-profit organization/Council which consisted of a President, Secretary and board. This Council was started to aid and help the Wild Horses in the Little Bookcliffs Wild Horse Area. It was a yearly summer event.
 4th of July Celebration in memory of Scott Elliot: In 2015 the De Beque Recreation Department was in the process of creating a special 4th of July event with Fireworks, Potluck BBQ, Vendors, Kids Games, Live Music and more. Scott Elliot at the time was a Board Trustee for the Town of De Beque.
